Delicious Haiku
1
It is delicious
This sweet distance between us
Whets my appetite
2
A casual hug
Even though you may not know
You're seducing me
3
I don't want to kiss
Instead, I want to savor
Fantasies of you
4
Slow delicacy
Eating peaches with a fork
Like longing on you
5
My body responds
A gentle pang of hunger
When you meet my gaze
6
I drink in your face
Your gestures and the way you laugh
The fall of your hair
7
The heat of your neck
My hand against your chair-back
You are unaware
8
My head against you
Your finger tips stroke my palm
Soon, it's 4am
9
Feeding you mango
I touch your lips with my spoon
Like I'm not aroused

Haiku form is wonderful for feelings that are simple, light and gentle.
The ones I think are most successful are the ones that leave just a little
bit unsaid [4, 7, 8, 9.] Believe it or not, I named this group of haiku
before I even noticed the thread of food and suculance that runs through
most of them. I guess I'm just hungry. :) [in more ways than one! :) ]
